A light-permeable thermoelectric refrigerating element, comprises a light-permeable first substrate, a light-permeable second substrate spaced from and opposite to the first substrate, a light-permeable p-type thermoelectric layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate, a light-permeable n-type thermoelectric layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate and spaced from the p-type thermoelectric layer and a light-permeable electrode unit located between the first substrate and the second substrate and connected with the p-type thermoelectric layer and the n-type thermoelectric layer. Each layer of the thermoelectric refrigerating element is made of light-permeable materials. The light-permeable thermoelectric refrigerating element can be used in non-transparent or transparent apparatuses. The light-permeable thermoelectric refrigerating element has a wide applicability and can be used as temperature control elements with high transmittance.
